TENANT BILLING
Sub-metering plays a significant role in helping achieve sustainability goals through better utility usage information and reporting, through to tenant engagement.
PAY-FOR-USE BILLING
Sub-metering enables a property to individually charge each tenant for their specific energy & water consumption and costs. As opposed to flat rate cost distribution, such as a square meter rate, pay-for-use billing charges each tenant fairly. Tenants pay only for what they use, so low energy/water consumers are not subsidising the energy/water costs of high energy/water users within the property.
ENERGY & WATER CONSERVATION
Pay-for-use billing charges tenants for their actual consumption. As their consumption habits now impact them directly, tenants have a clear monetary incentive to save water & energy. Pay-for-use systems are proven to result in a decrease in water & energy consumption, thereby saving them costs.
